This October, HomeTeamNS is taking you back to school…just not the kind you remember from your primary and secondary school days.
Unfolding over three weekends at HomeTeamNS’s clubhouses, this year’s SpoOktober takes you and your loved ones through a series of thrilling experiences inspired by ghostly schoolyard tales that we all grew up whispering.
Whether you’re a seasoned horror enthusiast or a parent seeking some not-too-spooky carnival fun for the little ones, SpoOktober 2026 has something for everyone. Grab your hall pass, put on your most creative costume, and follow us as we break down Detention After Dark in this article.
THE FIRST ASSEMBLY AT HOMETEAMNS BEDOK RESERVOIR
Your terrifying curriculum begins on the weekend of 17 and 18 October (5 – 11 pm) at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir with The First Assembly.
Here, you’ll find yourself exploring a school built by the edge of a reservoir, burdened by a tragic past that refuses to be buried. HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir will be transformed into an aquatic nightmare with two scare zones, perfect for thrill-seekers looking to test their courage by navigating its haunted sections.
But fear not: the school grounds are also packed with safe zones for the kids, with a lively carnival area entertaining them with games, glitter tattoos, trick-or-treating, and piñatas – completely shielded from the scares. With food and drink stalls serving up Halloween-themed treats, it is the perfect way to spend a weekend evening that’s just the right amount of spooky and fun.

THE NIGHT WALK AT HOMETEAMNS BUKIT BATOK
Did you manage to survive the assembly? If you did, congrats, but your journey is not over. Your next step is to head over to HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok on the weekend of 24 and 25 October (5 – 11 pm).
Here, the plot deepens with a Night Walk through empty classrooms after hours. Detention may have officially ended, but the real nightmare has just begun.
You’ll have to brave two scare zones featuring eerie escape rooms and haunted experiences that mimic a deserted school block at midnight. As you make your way through the shadowy corners, keep an eye out for strange sights and any unsettling encounters that may await.
While the older kids and adults get their adrenaline pumping in the scare zones, the main event space will host friendlier festive distractions, such as carnival games, face painting, and trick-or-treating.
“For this year’s SpoOktober at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok, we wanted to bring the scares to life through immersive escape rooms, haunted houses, mazes, and an actual detention classroom transformed into a terrifying scare zone. We've created a Halloween experience that will leave guests with chills long after the screams have faded, and maybe even think twice about ever getting detention again.”
THE LAST CLASS AT HOMETEAMNS KHATIB
And now we come to the finale of SpoOktober 2026: The Last Class, taking place over the actual Halloween weekend on 31 October and 1 November (5 – 11 pm) at HomeTeamNS Khatib.
In this final chapter, the school is shutting its doors for good, with just one final batch of students left behind to complete their term. Some say that this Last Class remains trapped within the school, still waiting to be dismissed.
HomeTeamNS Khatib plays host to this finale, featuring the most scare zones of all the clubhouses. With four immersive scare zones packed with live actors, you can enjoy the scariest thrills yet, all at the same ticket price.
And of course, not forgetting the kids and the older folks, we’ve got a lineup of family-friendly activities available onsite. Kid-friendly sections within the scare zones aside, there’ll also be the usual carnival with Halloween-themed snacks, interactive game booths, and community festivities.

In The Last Class, the school day spirals into a living nightmare filled with unspeakable horrors and chilling encounters. With four scare zones standing between them and the exit, our only advice is simple: don't look back.”
CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN 2026 WITH HOMETEAMNS
SpoOktober 2026 is shaping up to be HomeTeamNS’s biggest Halloween event yet, with a complete Detention After Dark trilogy of haunted house experiences in store for you.
Fun fact: All scare zones have unlimited entries. If you can’t get enough screams, go through the zones again.
Tickets start at $22 each for HomeTeamNS members, going up to $33 for a pair and $71 for a party of 5 (Affiliate Members enjoy tickets from $30, while Guest tickets start from $35). HomeTeamNS members will earn double +HPoints for every dollar spent and receive a complimentary pumpkin goodie bag, perfect for trick-or-treating. Goodie bags are available to the first 150 pre-registered participants at each clubhouse.
