Eligibility

Applicants must fulfil all criteria below in order to be eligible to apply for the Children’s Education Awards.

General Eligibility Criteria

1. You must be an existing HomeTeamNS Ordinary+ member:
   
   1. With minimum of 12 months continuous membership during application period.
   2. Maintaining continuous membership until you receive the award.
   3. Your child/children:
      
      • Must be studying+ in Singapore: either in Government/Government-Aided/Independent Schools; Junior Colleges (JC); Institute of Technical Education (ITE); Polytechnics or MOE-registered Special Education Schools in 2022.

+Not eligible for the Children’s Education Awards:

1. If you are a HomeTeamNS Social member, HomeTeamNS Family Member (Spouse) or HomeTeamNS Associate member.
2. If you OR your Spouse is under the employment for Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Singapore Police Force (SPF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), or any other Home Team Agencies.
3. Students on bridging courses tie-up between foreign, local educational institutions and exchange programme in 2022.

Additional Criteria for Education Grant

1. Total Monthly Gross Household Income+ must be $3,000 and below OR monthly Per Capita Income (PCI) of $750 and below if Gross Household Income exceeds $3,000
2. Your child/children must achieve a passing grade for the overall aggregate in 2022.
3. Your child/children will be considered for the award based on his/her full academic year performance.
4. If your child/children are involved in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and Community Involvement Programmes (CIP) or Values in Action (VIA) in their academic year 2022, please submit all documents accordingly

+ Gross income is defined as all income derived from employment/business. Inclusive of overtime and allowances. As the objective of the HomeTeamNS Children’s Education Awards is aligned with MOE’s Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), the eligibility by Household Income was updated to be on par with the eligibility to MOE’s FAS since 2023. This has allowed HomeTeamNS to ensure that the award will benefit families of eligible HomeTeamNS Members within the same income bracket.
