Eligibility

Applicants must fulfil all criteria below in order to be eligible to apply for the Children’s Education Awards.

General Eligibility Criteria

1. You must be an existing HomeTeamNS Ordinary+ member, with a minimum validity until 31 April 2025.
2. Your Child(ren) must be studying in Singapore in 2023, in either a:
   • Government/Government-Aided/Independent School,
   • Junior College (JC),
   • Institute of Technical Education (ITE),
   • Polytechnics, or 
   • MOE-registered Special Education School.

+Not eligible for the Children’s Education Awards:

1. If you are a HomeTeamNS Social member, HomeTeamNS Family Member (Spouse) or HomeTeamNS Associate member.
2. If you OR your Spouse is under the employment for Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Singapore Police Force (SPF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), or any other Home Team Agencies.
3. Students on bridging courses tie-up between foreign, local educational institutions and exchange programme in 2023.

Additional Criteria for Education Grant

1. Total Monthly Gross Household Income+ must be $3,000 and below OR monthly Per Capita Income (PCI) of $750 and below if Gross Household Income exceeds $3,000
2. Your child/children must achieve a passing grade for the overall aggregate in 2023.
3. Your child/children will be considered for the award based on his/her full academic year performance.
4. If your child/children are involved in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and/or Values in Action (VIA) in their academic year 2023, please submit all documents accordingly

+ Gross income is defined as all income derived from employment/business. Inclusive of overtime and allowances. The eligibility by Household Income for the HomeTeamNS Children’s Education Awards was updated to take reference from the eligibility to MOE’s FAS from 2023. This has allowed HomeTeamNS to ensure that the award will benefit families of eligible HomeTeamNS Members within the same income bracket.
