One Stop Centre for All Things Adventure

To reinforce our commitment as a trusted adventure destination, we set our sights on achieving the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) accreditation for Adventure HQ and Adventure Centre, and we are proud to have successfully attained it in May 2024.

This internationally recognised certification affirms our commitment to uphold the safety, risk management and operational standards across our adventure facilities, giving us a strong edge as we grow our presence in the sector, including offering high-element activities for MOE schools.

At the same time, we continue to maintain the SSCMF accreditation for rock climbing activities across our adventure facilities, which allows us to serve as a dependable partner for youth and school engagement.

Sports climbing courses were launched at My Climbing Place, where 50 trainees were trained in foundational and advanced climbing techniques. This supported our plan to engage CCA groups, Institutes of Higher Learning and International Schools, paving the way for future nationwide school competitions in partnership with SSCMF and other event organisers.

Beyond the trainings, learning journeys, etiquette workshops and service innovation programmes such as “Think on Your Own Feet” helped build adaptability and fostered the spirit of initiative among our staff – ensuring services are delivered with warmth and from the heart.

Farewell to HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier

On 31 March 2025, we bade farewell to one of our pioneer clubhouses – HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier. Since its humble beginnings as SPANS-JOM clubhouse in 2001, the clubhouse has been a sanctuary that holds many precious memories for our National Servicemen and their families.

As the lifestyle and recreational needs of our National Servicemen evolved over the years, we observed a decline in patronage. The physical constraints on scaling and upgrading the clubhouse meaningfully had led to the difficult decision to close the clubhouse, allowing us to redirect our resources to invest in future areas of growth and continue to bring greater value to our members.

Following the closure, HomeTeamNS’ headquarters was also relocated to HomeTeamNS Khatib.

Cybersecurity Incident

On 25 February 2025, we were hit by a ransomware attack. Upon discovery, immediate containment measures were taken, including disabling and isolating affected servers.

The attack affected servers that house our accounting system, computing scripts for our clubhouses’ car park system, self-help kiosk printers and folders containing personal data of current and former employees. The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the affected stakeholders (including affected members, former and current employees) were notified in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Cybersecurity and data protection are of utmost importance to us, and we take this incident seriously. We launched an independent data forensic investigation following the incident, and our latest assessment found no evidence that any data was taken or leaked. The conclusion and recommendations from the independent investigation will continue to guide us in strengthening our cybersecurity posture and refining our response plan, ensuring the continued protection of the sensitive and personal data of our stakeholders.

HomeTeamNS clubhouses will continue to be versatile spaces for our National Servicemen to connect, create cherished memories with loved ones and meaningful experiences that enrich their lives. Water sports activities, such as kayaking and dragon boating, will soon be introduced at the new Aqua Sports Centre, located at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir, in Q2 of the 2025/2026 Financial Year. Aqua Sports will be the latest addition to HomeTeamNS clubhouses’ lineup of signature adventure experiences, joining Aqua Adventure, Adventure HQ, Action Motion, and TactSim, which highlight HomeTeamNS as a one-stop hub with varied recreational offerings and meaningful experiences.

Annual Report FY2024/2025 AR Graphics 2425 2 48

To deepen our interaction and better understand our members, we have set out to enhance our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. When ready, the new CRM system will be able to capture insight such as preferences, transactions and feedback – these will give us clearer insights into what members truly value. These insights will support data-driven decisions to personalise experience and anticipate needs more effectively, ultimately leading to a more engaging and satisfying member experience that feels relevant, thoughtful and member-first. The first phase of the CRM system enhancement is expected to be delivered in Q4 of Financial Year 2025/2026.

As we commemorate our 20th anniversary this year, we have lined up year-long promotions and exclusive deals, adding more excitement, benefits, and memorable experiences to our members. A roving exhibition will also bring our two-decade journey to life, showcasing the milestones, memories, and moments that have shaped HomeTeamNS.

Annual Report FY2024/2025 AR Graphics 2425 2 49

In the spirit of this celebration, our “Light the Way Forward” campaign reflects our commitment to giving back. This initiative brings together our National Servicemen, their families, friends, and partners to uplift those in need, offering support and hope to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges. Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact of $200,000, supporting communities in transition, including single parents, youths-at-risk, and children with special needs. These CSR efforts will culminate in a Charity Dinner in November 2025, bringing together our community in a shared celebration of unity and shared purpose.

I am grateful for the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of the HomeTeamNS staff team, supported by the generous spirit of our National Servicemen Volunteers, and empowered by the visionary leadership led by our Board of Governors and Management Committees.

Together, let us continue to build a HomeTeamNS that reflects the strength, unity, and dedication of our community.

With shared purpose and commitment, I am confident that we will shape a future that honours our past and inspires the generations to come.
