A group of 147 HomeTeamNS members and their guests embarked on a one-day durian farm tour to Johor Bahru. Participants set off from the HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier clubhouse and visited several farms across the Causeway, including Mushroom Biotech Enterprise, Wansern Agrotech Sdn Bhd and a durian plantation. There, members sampled the local produce as well as carried more fresh goodies back home.

At the Happy Nature farm, a private plantation in Batu Pahat, visitors enjoyed an unending supply of durians and seasonal fruits. The day trip concluded with an extravagant eight-course meal at the Straits Garden Seafood Restaurant.

Those who were not inclined to travel far to taste the spiky fruit got their cravings satisfied at the HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok clubhouse. It organised a members-exclusive, all-you-can-eat durian buffet over two sessions, with a large variety ranging from D13 to Mao Shan Wang.

One attendee, Liew Yee Chin, was impressed with the arrangements. He shared: “The staff was very proactive in checking if enough durians were being served!”
