Protective Security Command (ProCom) Officers are now deployed to conduct high visibility deterrent patrols at Changi Airport terminals.

WHEN DUTY CALLS

Protecting one of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks 24/7 while projecting a highly professional image of the SPF is no easy task. ProCom Officers have “stepped up” to the challenge resolutely and confidently.

“As part of the transformation from the Key Installations Command (KINS) to ProCom, our Officers are stepping up as specialists who safeguard security-sensitive locations such as Orchard Road and Marina Bay, event security, and now patrolling one of the world’s busiest airports.” said Commander ProCom SAC Manimaran Pushpanatan.

Working closely as a team with their regular counterparts, ProCom NS Key Appointment Holders (KAH) actively assisted in planning and execution. On 13 April 2020, ProCom’s high visibility deterrent patrol was successfully rolled out.

“ProCom PNSMen are equipped with the hard and soft skills to fulfil a wide spectrum of specialist roles. It is a honour for ProCom to be entrusted with the duty of guarding our airport. The deployment is a testimony to ProCom’s motto: ‘Protect and Prevail’. We are proud to don the ProCom uniform and beret to accomplish this mission,” said NS Commander ProCom, DAC (NS) Ben Tan.

As countries begin to ease up on travel restrictions and the frequency of flights increases, Singapore residents and visitors alike will witness our ProCom PNSmen in blue resolutely carrying out their duties.
