More than 200 NSmen and members gathered at this year’s Fitness Challenge at Bishan Stadium, to perform feats that many would expect to do only at the command of a physical training instructor during an Individual Physical Proficiency Test.

These men battles it out among their respective divisions in a variety of events, and some participants even broke their own personal bests while helping their division win.

One of them was 59-year-old DAC (NS) Patrick Fung Chee Yuen, who brought his division and himself to the spotlight in this year’s Fitness Challenge. The aforementioned division is SPF “A” Division, which managed to clinch the second-runner-up position under the NSmen Team Category.

When asked about his training habits, the exercise junkie simple said: “I do circuit training at least three to four times a week. And I also make sure to do a few exercise routines before breakfast.”
