A family affair – HomeTeamNS members were introduced to new benefits at the inaugural Family Day at Universal Studios Singapore.
This June, some 5,000 HomeTeamNS members, volunteers and their families attended the HomeTeamNS Family Day at Universal Studios Singapore.
As the theme park was exclusively booked for the evening, attendees were able to freely explore it till midnight. The younger set was delighted at the chance to be members of SPF and SCDF for the evening, as they proudly wore their uniforms.
Gracing the event was Guest of Honour Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower, Second Minister for Home Affairs and President of HomeTeamNS, who announced a slew of exciting benefits for HomeTeamNS members. These include complimentary personal accident insurance coverage for HomeTeamNS Ordinary members up to 70 years of age. In addition, the special GenNEXT package has been introduced to members aged 51 years and above. This includes a $100 discount on gym membership at Fitness Workz, plus a complimentary two-year membership.
HomeTeamNS member LTC (NS) Sim Meng San, who was at the outing, said that he was thrilled with the new perks.
“Insurance coverage for Home Team NSmen is limited, so the additional benefits are a welcome bonus,” said the 41-year-old IT manager.
