In May, HomeTeamNS took home the Friend of Heritage award at the National Heritage Board’s annual Patron of Heritage Awards.
Launched in 2006, the Awards honour individuals and organisations that have played a key role in making heritage accessible, informative and inspiring for all.
HomeTeamNS won the award for partnering with Peranakan museum The Intan to create Peranakan Land @ T-Play, our indoor playground at Bukit Batok clubhouse. The programme allowed both young and old to learn more about the Peranakan culture, from dressing up in a kebaya to crafting Peranakan tiles with recycled materials.
In recognition of its contributions, Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, presented HomeTeamNS with a digitised reproduction of watercolour drawings from the National Museum’s William Farquhar Collection of National History Drawings.
