HALAL OPTIONS!

DuitSg

The relaxed, cosy atmosphere here sets everyone at ease – even the kids. And this cafe specialises in large table settings where the whole family, give or take a few friends, can munch down together in home-style comfort. The fusion menu means there’s something to tickle every palate too. And don’t forget the exciting weekend buffet!

FIKA

This centrally located Scandinavian cafe has a small indoor play area for twitchy youngsters, and has also made the news for welcoming nursing mothers with open arms. Families who come here have good things to say about the Swedish Meatballs, Fisherman’s Pasta, Grilled Chicken and Herb-Crusted Salmon.

NON-HALAL OPTIONS!

Mooks Thai Bistro

This cosy eatery provides place settings for kids, complete with high chairs, utensils and tableware, making them the ideal location for family meals and birthday parties! The space is easily configured for large groups, and most dishes come in large sharing portions. Crowd favourites here include the Fried Chicken with Thai Herbs, Thai Street Grilled Squid with Seafood Sauce, and Thai Ice Milk Tea Smoothies.

This laid-back trattoria offers a comforting array of local delights and Italian classics, with pork-free options for Muslims who don’t mind the café’s not having halal certification. There are nursing rooms, nappy changing stations and shower facilities right next door, and dog bowls for your furry friends at a designated corner of the al fresco dining area. Kids will love running around the open space dotted with palms and fountains!

Serving up creative and classic burgers as well as other signature dishes right in the heart of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park (which hosts lush greenery, water play areas and kids playgrounds), Grub is a bona fide fab find.
