The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) Society is a home-grown humanitarian organisation dedicated to relieve human suffering, protect lives and dignity and respond to emergencies since 1949.
Volunteers from ex-police officers and NPCC Cadet Inspectors came together to organise “Project BlueStar 2019”, a car rally. It was the second year running and the purpose of this event was to raise funds for Red Cross Home for the Disabled.
The event was held on 25 Aug 2019, cars gathered at Kallang Leisure Park for the take off. A total of 31 cars participated and 3 cars were proudly represented by Auto Adventure Interest Group (AAIG).
Besides the car rally, volunteers also made a visit to the Red Cross Home for the Disabled to engage the residents. We could see the joy and radiant smiles from everyone. It was a well spent meaningful Sunday morning and everyone was happy to contribute in this annual fundraising car rally event.
The organising committee encourages voluntary participation in such meaningful annual event, with a mission to help the less fortunate group. “Serving Humanity, Saving Lives”.
