In commemoration of 55 years of National Service (NS55), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is giving out an NS55 Recognition Package (RP) to thank past and present national servicemen for their contributions to Singapore’s defence and security.

The opt-in period for this 1-year complimentary principal HomeTeamNS membership has been extended to 31 July 2023.
- Eligible national servicemen will receive a hardcopy letter from July 2022 to inform them of their eligibility for the NS55 RP.

From July 2022 onwards, eligible national servicemen will receive $100 worth of NS55 credits* on the LifeSG app. You can use the credits in the following ways:
- Book HomeTeamNS facilities at exclusive member’s rate
- Renew your membership
- Pay for dining and entertainment at HomeTeamNS clubhouse*
- Plus more than 45,000 merchants across Singapore that accept scan and pay via PayNow UEN or NETS QR.

About NS55 Recognition Package
In commemoration of 55 years of National Service (NS55), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will be giving out an NS55 Recognition Package (RP) to thank past and present national servicemen for their contributions to Singapore’s defence and security.
The NS55 RP consists of $100 worth of credits that will be digitally disbursed via the LifeSG mobile application and can be spent at any online/physical merchant accepting payment by “Scan and Pay” via PayNow UEN and/or NETS QR. This includes heartland shops, hawkers, and e-commerce merchants, and making payments to government agencies and educational institutions. The $100 NS55 credits can also be used for sign-up/renewal of HomeTeamNS membership and booking of HomeTeamNS facilities.
In addition, NSmen who have served or are currently serving Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS) will receive a year of complimentary SAFRA/HomeTeamNS principal membership. This will allow national servicemen and their family members to enjoy recreational facilities and lifestyle services offered by SAFRA and HomeTeamNS.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the NS55 Recognition Package will be based on national servicemen’s service status in May 2022.

NSmen will receive the 1-year complimentary membership according to the service that they were last posted to. The 1-year complimentary membership, awarded under the NS55 Recognition Package, will not be transferrable between SAFRA/HomeTeamNS.
When & How Do I Receive The Benefits
a) Existing HomeTeamNS Members
An NS55 SMS notification and eligibility letter will be sent from July 2022 to notify that the NS55 credits have been disbursed.
To offer greater convenience for those who are existing HomeTeamNS members as of January 2022, the 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership will be automatically extended from their existing membership expiry date or July 2022, whichever occurs later.
b) SPF/SCDF Full-time National Servicemen (NSFs)
An NS55 SMS notification and eligibility letter will be sent from July 2022 to notify that the NS55 credits have been disbursed.
c) SPF/SCDF NSmen who are Non-HomeTeamNS Members
For those who are serving or have served ORNS, they will receive the NS55 Recognition Package eligibility letter from July 2022.
Eligible NSmen may opt-in for their complimentary 1-year HomeTeamNS Ordinary membership through a dedicated online portal at FormSG.
Upon successful registration and verification, you will receive an email from HomeTeamNS within 6 to 8 weeks with your membership login details. The last day for the opting-in of the 1-year complimentary membership will be on 31 December 2022. (Update: The last day for opt-in has been extended till 31 July 2023)
The notification letter will not be mailed to overseas addresses as the benefits and its usage are limited within Singapore.
Due to the sheer volume of eligible national servicemen who will be benefiting from this initiative, the administration of the NS55 Recognition Package will take some time and the delivery of the notification letters and benefits will be done in several batches from July 2022.
As part of the NS55 Recognition Package, the earliest start date of the 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership is 1 July 2022 onwards.
Existing HomeTeamNS members whose memberships have expired/are expiring between February to June 2022 will still enjoy the 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership from 1 July 2022.

The 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership is non-transferrable and non-exchangeable for cash.
There will be no refunds provided for existing HomeTeamNS membership. The 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership will be added to any ongoing membership term spanning beyond July 2022 for eligible national servicemen.
For new HomeTeamNS members who joined solely through the NS55 1-year complimentary HomeTeamNS membership, their HomeTeamNS membership will not be renewed automatically upon its expiry. However, they can extend their membership for 3 years at a promotional rate of $10 only.
NS55 Credits
The NS55 credits will be disbursed via the LifeSG mobile application from Jul 2022 onwards. You are required to download the LifeSG application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at https://go.life.gov.sg/FP7q. You will be required to sign in with your Singpass and the NS55 credits can be found under the ‘Benefits and Support’ module of the LifeSG application. The NS55 credits can be used to make payment at any online/physical merchant accepting payment by “Scan and Pay” via PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR (from April 2022 onwards). This includes heartland shops, hawkers, and e-commerce merchants, and making payments to government agencies and educational institutions. The $100 NS55 credits can also be used for sign-up/renewal of HomeTeamNS membership and booking of HomeTeamNS facilities.
The NS55 credits are valid for one year upon issuance. There will be no extension of credit validity.
The LifeSG transfer feature allows the transfer of credits to family members. However, the credits are non-exchangeable for cash.
With the HomeTeamNS NS55 physical vouchers, you can use them at a variety of places within HomeTeamNS clubhouses and merchants across Singapore!

HomeTeamNS Membership Promotion
The NS55 promotion ($10 for 3-year Member and 50% off for 1st Dependent at $10 for 2-years) is only available to members who are eligible for the NS55 1-year complimentary membership.
Those who are not eligible for the NS55 1-year complimentary membership are able to sign-up or renew their membership at the usual rates at https://www.hometeamns.sg/membership/
Once the payment is accepted, the membership fees cannot be refunded.
The Family Membership promotion is applicable for
- Parents (mother/father of eligible applicant)
- Spouse
- Child/children (below 19 years old)
The 50% OFF Family Membership is chargeable for the first family registration at $20 for 2 years, $35 for 5 years and $50 for 10 years. Subsequent parent/spouse/child registrations are completely FREE!
You just have to pay for the first registered family member to enjoy HomeTeamNS membership for the entire family.
Note: You are able to sign your family member for up to 2, 5 or 10 years so long as the Family Membership duration does not surpass the Principal Member's membership expiry date.

Terms and Conditions
The NS55 promotion ($10 for 3-year Member and 50% off for 1st Dependent) acts as an add-on and is applicable only to members who are eligible for the NS55 1-year Complimentary membership.
The NS55 membership promotions are offered for a limited-time only and is only available through the links supplied on this page or any official communication that the eligible member may receive.
The $10 Family Membership promotion entitles the first added family member (spouse or child) to a special 50% off the signup fee. Example, the principal member has 3-years of valid membership term, he/she can sign up the family member to the 2-year family membership (U.P. $20/2 years) and every subsequent family member within the same household can be added free.
