From Nomination Day to Polling Night, officers from the Singapore Police Force were on the ground \u2014 and behind the scenes \u2014 ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of GE2025.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The smooth conduct of this year\u2019s General Election (GE2025) was made possible by the dedication of Singapore Police Force\u00a0(SPF) officers. Over the course of two eventful weeks, they were a steady presence both on the frontlines and behind the scenes. Working closely with other public agencies, they helped ensure that every stage of the election was carried out safely and efficiently.<\/p>

Here\u2019s a closer look at how officers supported GE2025 \u2014 working tirelessly across all key phases of the electoral period.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the campaign period, the Police Elections Permit Office (PEPO) oversaw the review and approval of permits for election-related activities, such as election meetings and mobile vehicles used for campaigning.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From incident response planning to communications support, these officers ensured that all operations were tightly coordinated \u2014 with real-time monitoring and situational awareness playing a critical role<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Polling Day<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On Polling Day, over 10,000 officers \u2014 including regulars, Full-time Police National Servicemen (PNSFs), and Volunteer Special Constabulary officers \u2014 were deployed to safeguard the electoral process.<\/p>

Duties began on the eve of Polling Day, with officers escorting ballot papers and securing Group Assistant Returning Officer centres. On Polling Day itself, officers escorted the ballot boxes to polling stations islandwide and remained on-site throughout the day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From lending a hand to those who needed help to watching over proceedings, officers were present and ready from the early hours until the final ballots were counted.<\/p>

Their work didn\u2019t end there \u2014 deployments continued at assembly centres, and finally with the escort of counted ballots to the Supreme Court, where they were securely kept.<\/p>
