Am I eligible for this FREE AXA personal accident coverage?
Yes, all HomeTeamNS Ordinary Members (aged 70 years old and below) eligible for this coverage.
I am 71 years old this year, why am I not eligible for the Free AXA personal accident coverage?
To benefit most HomeTeamNS Members, HomeTeamNS has heavily funded for this Group Personal Accident insurance. This is the standard Group Personal Accident exclusion by AXA, and most insurers in Singapore.
When is the effective date of this Policy?
HomeTeamNS Group Personal Accident Insurance (P2156623) is effective on 1 August 2018.
How do I apply to get covered by this personal accident insurance?
No application is required. All eligible members are auto-included for this benefit. AXA will notify and verify with HomeTeamNS should you submit a claim.
How do you define an Accident?
“Accident” is defined as a sudden and unforeseen event that solely and independently results in Injury, disablement or death and which is not caused by any Illness or medical condition.
How long will I be covered under the insurance?
You will be covered for as long as you are a valid HomeTeamNS Ordinary Member. Coverage will cease should your membership expires.
Can I still benefit from this if my Membership has expired?
No, the insurance coverage is valid according to the term of your membership tenure with HomeTeamNS. Insurance coverage will lapse should your membership has expired.
What if my membership has expired?
If you are holding an expired Ordinary Membership, you will NOT be eligible for this benefit. You will need to renew your membership before you can be covered.
How do I know if my accident is covered under this policy?

If I am to be stationed overseas for a period of time, will my personal accident Policy cover me?
You must not be away overseas for a period longer than 6 consecutive months at a time.
Can I claim for medical expenses incurred due to an accident?

If my injuries prevent me from working, will I be compensated?

Does this policy provide coverage when I’m engaged in my SPF / SCDF duties?

If I met an accident before my Membership has expired, would I still be covered?
Yes. You are covered as long you are a valid HomeTeamNS Ordinary Member at the point of accident.
What are the criteria to submit a claim?
You must be a valid HomeTeamNS member at point of accident. Accidents occurring before effective date (1 August) are NOT covered. Claims submission must adhere to the Terms and conditions indicated in the policy.
When will my Group Personal Accident coverage be terminated?
Your coverage will automatically be terminated on the earliest happening of any one of the following events:
(a) When you’re no longer a valid Ordinary Member of HomeTeamNS;
(b) When you’re above 70 years old; (c) your death; (d) 23:59 of 31 July 2021.
